This view tends to believe Jews (are)É

Rejected by

God

Replaced by

The Church

Restored by

The Messiah

Redeemed by

The 1st Covenant

ÒStumbledÓ for a Season – but will one day be

Òbrought inÓ (Rom 9:32-33; 11:11; 23-26)

This can lead Gentile Christians to aÉ

Anti-Jewish Attitude

and Actions

Neutrality Bordering on Indifference

Sympathetic

Respect

Pro-Jewish

Position

Respect for the seed of Abraham which will yet

turn and be saved

With a concern forÉ

Exposing Jews

as Evil Conspirators

Evangelizing Jews

to Accept Christ

Loving Jews

Provoking to Jealousy

Comforting Jews

Almost Òdo no wrongÓ

Praying / Testifying to Jews re: māšīaḥ /

Grieving over Jacob

This group tends to view Jews as:

ÒAnti-ChristÓ

Murderers of Jesus

Equal to Gentiles:

all have sinned

The ÒRootÓ  (Christians are grafted ÒBranchesÓ)

Special People

ÒChosenÓ by God

Distinct People – but not above the Òlaw of ChristÓ

Therefore Jews haveÉ

No rights to live among us

(or live?)

No rights to salvation as Jews

The right to remain Jews/Jewish

Special rights in

GodÕs plan as Jews

A destiny in the kingdom of God as a distinct nation

They tend to view Israel as:

An Abrogation

A Counterfeit

A prelude to Messiah

A Messianic Kingdom

A people with whom God is not yet done, and who will yet see the Òsalvation of the LORDÓ

And finally they tend to view Jews/Israel as

Despised / Doomed

In GodÕs eyes

Potential Disciples

(John 8:24)

Special Category

Need to Dialogue

Redeemed as a Nation

(1st Covenant)

Under a curse (the veil of 2 Cor. 3:14-16), but who will one day Òturn to the LORDÓ and see the veil lifted and the curse removed. Zechariah 12 & 13
